Advocate Health Advisors will be partnering with Rudolf Insurance and the Indianola YMCA to host a Warren County Pickleball Tournament on October 1st, 2021 at the YMCA facility in Indianola, IA.
About Pickleball
Pickleball incorporates elements of tennis, ping-pong, and badminton. According to sportsimports.com, pickleball has gained great popularity in recent years because it is ideal for all skill levels, it is a social activity with a smaller court that allows for easier conversation during play and it is healthy. The sport is most similar to tennis and brings many of the same health benefits (balance, coordination and agility) while putting significantly less stress on your body, making it an ideal sport for seniors.
The Event
Advocate Health Advisors is thrilled to be co-hosting the tournament to bring together pickleball enthusiasts and promote health and wellness in the community. 32 Teams will compete in a single elimination tournament to be crowned the Warren County Senior Pickleball Tournament Champions. Participants will enter competition in 2 age groups: 55-64 & 65 over. There will be raffles and prize drawings for both members and non-members.
How to Participate
In order to participate teams must register at the Indianola YMCA front desk by Sept 24, 2021. Snacks and refreshments will be provided by Rudolf Insurance Consultants to all participants and guests in the Community Room.
